T. exserta

by weirdlittlepony

Lovely long spreading grey-green leaves. That’s what attracted me to this plant… and when I bought it, I had no idea that it had the potential to become a giant. I saw a huge specimen at a friend’s nursury plot a little too late to go back on my decision. Ah well, tillandsias are slow-growing plants. We’ll take things one step at a time.

In the short time this beauty has been with me, it’s grown by about a quarter of the height you see in the photo. I love the way its leaves curl, and I love their texture. I’ve been told that under the right conditions the T. exserta can appear to be pure white, so I’m waiting and hoping to see that some day.
